237 Moffet Park Drive is one of Google’s most ambitiously designed buildings. Every little detail was designed with purpose and intent and is one of the most sustainable buildings in the world. How do we make this story present to every person who walks through it’s doors? We were tasked with solving this through experiential design.

Sustainable design goes beyond environmental impact and really gets into how spaces allow people to connect with each other. With that in mind, we designed this 50 ft. gallery wall —  a water cooler moment where a collection of displays show interactive questions and comments from employees and cycle through facts that showcase the building’s sustainability effort.

We created a library of diverse characters and told their stories though a collection of 46 picture frames. We illustrated their lives, how they get to work to magical collaborative moments in their day. All these characters come to life as you interact with the screens. The hardware is embedded in the wall, mixing static imagery with active screens. The overall effect places you in a gallery, not a wall of screens.

The Pulse Wall is currently installed and operating at 237 Moffet Park Dr. Learn more about Google’s Sustainability efforts.
